Andrew Williams is a Partner and European Patent Attorney at Mewburn Ellis. He advises pharmaceutical and life sciences companies on the strategic protection and exclusivity of medicinal products, with particular expertise in SPCs, Patent Term Extensions (PTEs), paediatric extensions and regulatory protection. He supports clients throughout the product lifecycle, from early development through to worldwide launch and beyond, combining commercial insight with extensive experience gained both in private practice and during a decade in-house at a leading global biopharmaceutical company. Andrew has advised on a wide range of innovative medicines, including small molecules, antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs), and has experience of managing complex freedom-to-operate issues, multi-jurisdictional disputes and regulatory exclusivity matters.
